Lutron RadioRA 3 support in the Poconos

RadioRA 3 is Lutron's current whole-home lighting system: engraved keypads, dimmers that run on Lutron's own radio rather than Wi-Fi, shade integration, and the Lutron app. We are an authorized Lutron dealer and design, install, and program it. If you already have one that was installed but never properly finished — default button layouts, exterior lights on a fixed timer — that is usually fixable in a day.

How to tell

You probably have one if…

  • Sunnata keypads and dimmers: flat, slim, with a small status light bar.
  • The Lutron app lists the system as RadioRA 3.
  • Installed in 2021 or later.

What we see

What goes wrong.

  • Keypads still on default scenes nobody uses.
  • Shades and lights on separate apps instead of the same keypads.
  • Exterior lights on a fixed schedule rather than following sunset through the year.

Your options

What we would do about it.

Finish and tune the programming

Scenes set on site at dusk, keypads engraved for what they actually do, exterior lighting on an astronomic timeclock.

Add shades

Lutron shades join the same system and the same keypads.

Integrate

Connect to Sonos, Control4, thermostats, and voice assistants.

Cost. A typical whole-home Lutron system in a 3,000 sq ft lake house lands between $8,000 and $20,000 installed, depending on how many loads get dimmed and how many keypads replace them. More on Lighting Control

Questions

Lutron RadioRA 3 questions

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.

Does RadioRA 3 need Wi-Fi to work?

No. Dimmers and keypads talk on Lutron's own radio, and the processor runs the house locally. The internet is only needed for the app away from home.

Can I change scenes myself?

Day-to-day scenes and schedules, yes, in the Lutron app. Keypad layout and engraving are done in Lutron's dealer software, which is what we use.

Do you service the Lutron RadioRA 3 in my area?

Yes. We are based in Pocono Pines and work on Lutron systems throughout the Poconos and Northeastern PA, including Pocono Pines, Lake Naomi, Lake Harmony, Lake Wallenpaupack, Hawley, Lake Ariel. Call (267) 719-3598 or book a walkthrough.
