Systems
Control4
Programming, service, and rescue for existing Control4 systems — including the ones whose original dealer disappeared.
There are a lot of Control4 systems in the Poconos that nobody is taking care of. The builder's integrator moved on, the remote stopped pairing, and the homeowner has been living with half a system for three years. That is the work we do: take over an orphaned system, get you back into your own account, fix what is broken, and program the rest of it the way you actually use the house.
You notice it when
- You own your system again instead of renting it from a phone number that no longer answers.
- One remote runs the room, including the TV that was never programmed in.
- Somebody answers when you call in February.
Scope
What a control4 project includes.
Every proposal is written for the specific house. This is the shape of it.
- System takeover and account transfer into your name
- Driver updates, OS upgrades, and controller replacement
- Reprogramming scenes, remotes, and touch panels around how you live
- Integrating Lutron lighting, Sonos audio, and cameras into one interface
- 4Sight and remote access setup so we can fix things without a truck roll
- Honest assessment when a system is past end of life
Investment
Projects start at $450
A system assessment and takeover starts at $450. Most rescues land between $1,500 and $6,000; a full controller replacement with reprogramming runs higher.
My installer is gone. Can you take over my system?
Yes — that is a large share of our Control4 work. We can transfer the project into your name, get you a working account, and pick up support from there.
Are you an authorized Control4 dealer?
No. We are an independent integrator: we program, service, expand, and rescue existing Control4 systems, and we are straight with you when a system would be better served by a brand-new Lutron and Sonos build than by more money into aging hardware.
Is my system too old to save?
Controllers older than an HC-800 generally cannot run current OS versions, so the honest answer is sometimes no. We tell you that up front, with what a replacement path costs, before you spend anything.
