Smart Locks & Access

Keyless entry with codes you can issue, schedule, and revoke from anywhere — built for guests, cleaners, and rentals.

The lockbox on the railing is the weakest part of most vacation homes. A proper smart lock replaces it with codes: one for the cleaner that only works Thursdays, one for a guest that expires Sunday at 11, and a log of who came and went. You stop driving up to let the plumber in.

You notice it when

  • The cleaner gets in Thursday morning and cannot get in Friday.
  • You get a phone notification the moment the family arrives safely.
  • You stop rekeying the house every time a code gets passed around.

Scope

What a smart locks & access project includes.

Every proposal is written for the specific house. This is the shape of it.

  • Yale, Schlage, Kwikset, and Level locks matched to your existing door hardware
  • Scheduled and expiring codes per person, not one code for everyone
  • Auto-lock and lock-on-departure so nobody has to remember
  • Airbnb and VRBO integration that issues a code per booking automatically
  • Access logs and arrival notifications
  • Keypad deadbolts that still take a physical key as backup

Investment

Projects start at $450

Roughly $450 to $900 per door installed and configured, depending on the lock and whether the door needs prep.

Questions

Smart Locks & Access questions

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.

Which smart lock is actually reliable in a cold climate?

Yale Assure 2 and Schlage Encode have held up best for us through Pocono winters. The failure mode to avoid is a lock that depends on Wi-Fi at the door — battery life collapses in the cold. We prefer Z-Wave or Thread to a hub inside the house.

Can it issue codes automatically for Airbnb bookings?

Yes. With Seam, RemoteLock, or the lock's native integration, each booking generates its own code valid only for that stay. No message to send, nothing to revoke by hand.

What if the batteries die while I am away?

You get a low-battery alert weeks ahead, the keypad has 9V jump terminals, and every lock we install keeps a physical key override. Nobody gets locked out.
