Smart Climate Control

Thermostats you can trust from 200 miles away, with hard freeze floors and zone-by-zone control.

A smart thermostat in a second home is doing a different job than one in a primary residence. It is not shaving a few dollars off a monthly bill — it is holding a hard floor so pipes never freeze, and getting the house to comfortable before you arrive Friday night rather than after.

You notice it when

  • The house is 68°F when you walk in Friday at 9 PM.
  • It holds 55°F all week without you thinking about it.
  • You hear about a failing furnace from the thermostat, not from a neighbor.

Scope

What a smart climate control project includes.

Every proposal is written for the specific house. This is the shape of it.

  • Ecobee, Honeywell, and Control4-native thermostats
  • Multi-zone setup with per-floor scheduling
  • Hard minimum temperature floors that no schedule can override
  • Geofenced or scheduled pre-arrival warm-up
  • Remote sensors so the thermostat reads the room you sleep in
  • Alerts when a zone cannot reach setpoint — an early failure warning

Investment

Projects start at $650

Roughly $650 to $1,100 per zone installed and configured, including remote sensors.

Smart Climate Control questions

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.

Will a Nest work for a vacation home?

We steer people away from Nest here. Its learning behavior fights a house with an irregular occupancy pattern. Ecobee with remote sensors and a hard floor is far more predictable for a second home.

Can I heat the house before I arrive?

Yes — on a schedule, from the app, or triggered by geofence when you cross a set distance from the house. Most people set it to start when they pass a landmark about an hour out.

What if the internet goes down while I am away?

The thermostat keeps running its local schedule and its freeze floor without a connection. Paired with vacation monitoring on cellular failover, you still get the alert if something actually goes wrong.

We come out, look at the house, and tell you what is worth doing and what is not. No pressure, no package deals, and a written scope before anyone spends anything.
