Security Cameras in Scranton

Long wooded driveways, detached garages, and boathouses are the norm here, and most are far outside the range of a doorbell camera. Wired coverage and local recording matter more when a house sits unoccupied for weeks and the nearest neighbor is not in sight of your driveway.

Historic borough and in-town housing

In-town properties have close neighbors and short sightlines, which changes the camera plan: fewer, better-placed cameras aimed to cover your entries without pointing into somebody's kitchen window. We plan the field of view deliberately, and mount to avoid drilling into original masonry or trim wherever there is an alternative.

The housing here

Dense, older, and architecturally significant in places. Plaster, transoms, and original trim mean wireless-first solutions and careful, minimal-damage pathways.

Connectivity

Good service across most of the city including fiber in many neighborhoods, which makes ambitious systems practical.

Why owners here buy it

Primary residences and businesses. Whole-home audio, media rooms, networking, and camera systems, with almost none of the seasonal freeze concern that drives the lake towns.

Questions

Cameras questions from Scranton homeowners

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.

Do you install security cameras in Scranton?

Yes. Scranton is part of our regular service area and we work throughout Lackawanna County, including Green Ridge, Hill Section, Minooka. We are based in Pocono Pines, so this is work we do ourselves rather than subcontract.

Are wired cameras really better than Ring or Nest?

For a property, yes. Wired cameras have no batteries to die in the cold, far better low-light sensors, and they record locally so the footage is not gated behind a subscription or a cloud outage.

Do I need a monthly subscription?

No. Recording happens on an NVR in your house. We set up remote viewing without a cloud plan, though we can add off-site backup if you want a second copy.
