Lighting Control in Lake Ariel
Lighting control earns its keep fastest in a house that sits empty part of the year. A house that lights itself at dusk and goes dark at bedtime reads as occupied from the road, and you never drive back up the mountain because someone left the basement on.
Gated lake developments
Homes in these developments were mostly built between the 1970s and 1990s, which means the switch boxes frequently have no neutral conductor and the panel is closer to full than anyone expects. That shapes the design: we verify neutrals before quoting, and where they are missing we use dimmers rated to work without one rather than opening walls. The result costs less than people assume and does not turn into an electrical project.
Local conditions
What this looks like in Lake Ariel.
The housing here
Mostly ranch and chalet-style homes on wooded lots, many built between the 1970s and 1990s. Panel capacity and the absence of a neutral in older switch boxes are the two constraints that come up most.
Connectivity
Community-wide cable service in most of the developments, adequate for a well-designed network but rarely for the equipment it arrives with.
Why owners here buy it
Weekend and seasonal use dominates. Keyless entry for family and cleaners, lighting that runs itself, and freeze protection are the three requests that come up on nearly every call.

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.
Do you install lighting control in Lake Ariel?
Yes. Lake Ariel is part of our regular service area and we work throughout Wayne County, including The Hideout, Lake Ariel, Hemlock Farms area. We are based in Pocono Pines, so this is work we do ourselves rather than subcontract.
Do you have to rewire the house?
Almost never. Lutron RA3 and Caséta use the existing wiring — we swap the switches and add a repeater. Rewiring only comes up when a circuit has no neutral in the box, and even then there are workarounds we carry on the truck.
What happens if the internet goes out?
Every keypad and dimmer keeps working. The processor is in the house, not in a data center. You lose remote app access until the connection is back; you do not lose your lights.
